Donating to Elizabeth’s Campaign

Money alone isn’t enough to win…

but it sure helps us up our game!

In the end, success on the ground in any campaign depends on the dedicated work of many, many volunteers. And, the impact of these amazing volunteers can be greatly amplified through a small number of paid staff, leased office space and an array of other things: most of which come with a price tag.

Why an office?

Campaign offices are more than just administrative centres. They are key organizing hubs for volunteer engagement and activities. Campaign offices allow us to really up our ability to grow and serve a highly engaged community of volunteers. They provide:

  • Welcoming and friendly points of contact and entry to the campaign.
  • Volunteer training, campaign team meet-ups, yoga classes for volunteers, phone banking, strategic planning meetings and admin
  • A logistical hub for election signs deployment
  • A multifunctional community hangout space

Our Salt Spring campaign office will be open starting August. Our Sidney office is at 9775 Second St, Sidney, BC V8M 3Y8.

Why paid staff?

Paid staff on our campaign play a vital role — most importantly to create and maintain the systems, structures and practice that set up our volunteers for success. Our paid staff are a vital part of our leadership team.

Why Messaging

To make an impact these days, campaigns must engage in the public sphere of messaging and advertising. This requires skillful content creation and delivery, and a commitment to remain positive in our messaging.

We expect competition to be strong in this election. A strong communications effort on our part will ensure that Elizabeth’s remarkable reputation remains strong in the minds of local constituents.

How we do this

  • Advertising in local papers
  • Creating educational and engaging communications material to help serve voters
  • Website design and management
  • Copywriting and editing for print and web
  • Creating canvassing materials we can offer to voters on the doorstop
  • Developing compelling video content
  • Ensuring effective engagement on social media platforms to help connect and inspire

Help us reach our goals

Funds to be raised between August 1st & September 15thGoal - $35,000

Our hope is to inspire 3500 people to donate as little as just $10 each by Sept 15th, so that we can not only re-elect Elizabeth May but also support a mobilization of a huge number of volunteers to phone canvass for other campaigns. This is a big opportunity for strong supporters in Saanich Gulf Islands to help elect more Greens.
